NEXTLIFE ™:  Where Real Virtual Reality Begins.

Nextlife™ Executive Summary

Can Big Data using sentiment analysis predict your behavior in future life circumstances?   If so, does it matter if you no longer exist?  Who would care about that  surviving “virtual” person?

NextLife ™ believes that while the corporeal reality of a person may vanish, their thoughts and feelings on life choices they made while living remain in their Big Data trail. Teased out by sentiment analysis, these can be made accessible to family, friends and relatives, easing life’s transition through recollections, reflections and more importantly, informing forward looking life choices.

At the time of its initial launch in 2016 the NextLife ™ proposal to develop and monetize a virtual human from its Big Data trail could reasonably have been considered “…crazy… things that look like they are just nuts” (Andreessen). So it follows that the initial funding by the founder has not been enhanced by money or mental equity to launch even a prototype virtual product.

That has begun to change with the imagining of virtualized humans in dramatic productions such as the Netflix series, “Black Mirror”, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ld9m8Xrpko0&feature=youtu.bet, and the ideation of this by notable futurists on the MSM, https://youtu.be/7IrbZ57ODXE

Indeed, the market for such a product has shown movement by another notable prototype start-up, www.eterni.me.

Unfortunately the identification and analysis of the data that might yield these sophisticated models that NextLife anticipates will cost more money than NextLife ™ has (which is easily concluded from the size of our initial funding of $20,000).

With this in mind NextLife ™ contemplates an initial product that would essentially be a curation of one’s own “big data”, in other words digitized key-word searchable “memoir” formatted, authored and approved by the “customer”, for which NextLife ™ would provide distribution and privacy controls.

That is the present function of this effort, to field an interim product utilizing existing internet functionality until such time as it can be evolved by successive reality-enhancing techniques and the leap to the Big Data behavioral model can be made.

Not to be overlooked in the launch and success of this entry product is the opportunity it offers Big Data analytics a path to access to the retail consumer market.

Provisional Patent 62/118,581 for this was filed February 20, 2015, a more refined utility patent is being created.

STATEMENT OF WORK 081418

The First Priority of this raise is to launch an app for a memoir that sells and generates a profit. This is referred to as the “Initial” or “First Product”. Note that this product is relatively well defined and within the capability of existing technology.

A Second Priority is the evolvement of the First Product by measured, incremental improvements leading to an augmented virtual reality display inhabited by the deceased as a sentient being along with viewer(s) inserted and scaled to screen. This product is now in prototype stage, https://www.wsj.com/articles/magic-leap-headset-test-drive-off-your-phone-and-into-your-world-1533730080 .  Commensurately, funding beyond the First Product is anticipated to involve discussions and negotiations leading to a funding model suitable to both funder(s) and NextLife ™.

A proposed Product Evolvement Schedule follows this SOW.
